Mountain Buggy Nano V2

We gave this a short test indoors at another retailer and was impressed enough to purchase it. The reason is we already have a Bugaboo Buffalo Escape and it fills the boot of our car with little room for much else. We needed a travel buggy now our boy is walking a lot more (he's two) that was compact enough to not fill the boot or take up too much room so this fits the bill exactly. I took it on a test run to the local park with our boy who loved the ride. However if I were to nit pick, the fact the handle doesn't extend is a little irritating. Because of this, the proximity of my feet to the brake on the right when walking was very close and I even partially triggered it on our walk. I managed to engage it fully twice. No great shakes as I think I'm so used to the size of our existing Bugaboo, this will take a little getting used to. The hood also sits flush with the handle of the buggy. There is no way of not having the hood extended and it not interfere with your hands. Also compared to the Bugaboo the wheels are smaller so you feel small bumps and cracks in the pavement and one must raise the buggy wheels over small kerbs not trundle over it! BUT that said, we are using it as a secondary/travel buggy and as that it fits the bill. It's compact when folded so that it can sit on the floor behind the front seat of the car. It's certainly light enough to be managed for travelling and the boy seems to enjoy the ride and that's whats important! The harness is a little fiddly but you can't ignore the safety of a 5-point harness. Plus there is stowage room underneath... with a 5kg weight limit. I've deducted three points because of the brake being triggered and because of the hood being either up against your hands or down. Both of these issues would not happen if the handle could be extended... We got this on a special deal and to be honest I wouldn't pay more than what we did for it especially as its a secondary buggy for us. Still it's a quality bit of kit and hopefully it will last.
